What’s Happening at Backyard Social This August

August at Backyard Social is stacked. Between weekly happy hours, live music, trivia, karaoke, a Poké Palooza weekend, an End of Summer Luau, and every single NFL preseason game on our screens, there’s a reason to stop by pretty much every day of the week. Here’s your full rundown for August 2026.

Every Week, Like Clockwork

Before we get into the special events, here’s what you can count on all month long:

• Mondays — All Day Happy Hour
• Tuesdays, 7PM — Tito’s & Trivia
• Wednesdays, 7PM — Bingo
• Thursdays — Live music starting at 6PM, plus Karaoke at 9:30PM
• Fridays — Live music starting at 6PM

• Happy hour runs Monday all day, Tuesday through Thursday from open until 6PM, and Friday from 3-6PM.

  FGCU Students: Syllabus Week Deals (August 17-23)

  Getting back into the swing of the semester? Bring a valid FGCU student ID and enjoy a free game of bowling or darts, plus 15% off all our food trucks, all week long.

  The Big Weekends

  August 1-2 — Poké Palooza Kick the month off right with Poké Palooza, a two-day celebration for car lovers, card collectors, and coffee enthusiasts alike. Saturday brings live music from King Chambers Band at 6PM. Sunday turns into a Family Fun Day with a Children’s Entrepreneur Market and a Movie on the Lawn screening of Pokémon Detective at 1PM.

August 8 — Club Motion Pilates & Cavalier Meetup Start the day with Club Motion Pilates at 10AM, followed by a Cavalier Meetup at 11AM. Note: we’ll be closed inside for a private event from 4-7PM, but live music with OTP Band kicks off at 7PM.

August 13-15 — Football, Emo Night & Latin Night Thursday the 13th brings live music from Eddie Z at 6PM, followed by a Detroit Lions Preseason Game at 7PM and Karaoke at 9:30PM. Friday the 14th is Emo Night alongside live music from Bayfront View. Saturday the 15th packs in a Pilates Class at 10AM, our Sylly Week Party at 11AM, and Baila in the Backyard — our Latin Night — at 8PM.

August 22 — End of Summer Luau Summer’s grand finale. Catch a Lions Preseason Game at noon, live music from Vybe Shifters at 5PM, and then let loose at our End of Summer Luau starting at 7PM. Expect island vibes, tropical drinks, and a fire dancer performance you won’t want to miss.

August 27-29 — Closing Out the Month Thursday the 27th features live music from Eddie Z and Karaoke at 9:30PM. Friday the 28th brings live music from The Deplorables. Saturday the 29th starts strong with a Sola Moda Workout Class at 10AM, another Lions Preseason Game at noon, and live music from The Yabo Brothers at 6PM to close out the weekend.
